hempcrete repair to oak framed house

2013 / 2104 Oxfordshire

construction design | hempcrete contractor

This building had been damaged by fire when its thatched roof caught fire after a neighbours garage went up in flames.

The frame was repaired by a local craftsman.

All the historic fabric of the infill panels was damaged beyond repair either by the fire or the rain.

I used shuttered hempcrete to infill the panels, lime plaster internally and lime render externally.

The client uses half the building as a bed and breakfast so for extra sound proofing I used hempcrete for the internal walls and the intermediate floor insulation.

To infill the panels with hempcrete, lime plaster the internal side and lime render the external side: £33,200.00
